The European Commission on Tuesday announced a decision made in Brussels to provide an additional $123 million to the Palestinian people. This brings the total for 2007 to more than $1 billion. A little more than half the funds is provided through the European Commission, with the remainder comprised of specific grants from member nations. The European Union is the largest donor to the Palestinian people.
