Algeria launched its third general agricultural census on Sunday, a crucial initiative to enhance the country’s food security through improved agricultural policies, according to an agricultural official. Agriculture Ministry Secretary General Hamid Bensaad announced that the census will continue until July 17.
A total of 7,449 enumerators, controllers, and supervisors have been mobilized to conduct the census and compile a comprehensive report on agricultural operations across Algeria, reported the official APS news agency.
