Algeria says its security forces have foiled a huge terror attack. Officers killed 10 Islamists just east of Algiers. The planned strike was to have been the work of Al-Qa’ida in the Islamic Maghreb, an organization that has the formal backing of Al-Qa’ida. The group said it was behind several attacks in Algeria, along with recent operations in Mauritania. At least four Algerian officers were wounded during the operation.
