A 35-year old Arab Israeli from the city Tayibe in the central part of the country was arrested by Shin Bet, the Israeli domestic security agency, in a joint operation with other agencies, before he could carry out planned terror attacks on Israeli targets. Enas Haj-Yahia reportedly had ties to the Islamic State that included distributing instructions for making explosive devices and toxins like Sarin gas to use with the devices, and was an active recruiter for the ISIS terrorists. He was arrested in January but a gag order had been in effect until Monday. Haj-Yahia also was said to be planning an attack on an Israeli bus in Tel Aviv targeting soldiers. Officials reported that he was in possession of “dangerous materials” and instructions for assembling bombs at the time of his arrest.
