The Media Line Arab League Chief Cautions: No Change in Position vis-à-vis Israel

Arab League chief Amr Moussa cautioned on Sunday that participation in the Annapolis conference by the Arab nations did not signal a shift in the position of the Arab world vis-à-vis Israel. Moussa said there would be no normalization of relations with Israel except within "the framework of the Arab peace initiative." He said that, "The unanimous participation of Arabs in the Annapolis meeting does not mean that the Arabic position that has been put forth by the [2002] Arab peace initiative has changed."
