Arabic Newspaper Reports Israel Will Target Iranian Military Anywhere in Syria

Israel will no longer view Iranian military assets located only in southern Syria as a target, but according to the pan-Arabic newspaper A-Sharq Al-Awset on Saturday, Israel has let Moscow know that any Iranian weapons or military equipment located anywhere in Syria is going to be destroyed. On Friday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights – the group that monitors everything related to the Syrian civil war—reported that there was an air strike against the Dabaa military base on Friday night and that the base was home to operatives of the Lebanon-based Iranian terror proxy Hizbullah, members of other pro-Assad fighters and large weapons caches. The Observatory did not offer any casualty figures. There were also media reports about a strike against a base in Homs province this past week, one news outlet reporting that it was carried out by Israel. The state-run IRNA news agency denied the reported casualty toll of 21 dead.
