Bahrain’s Minister of Interior, Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, said a decision has been taken to ban all marches, demonstrations and any other form of protest until after security and calm are restored to the country. The decision followed the release by the public prosecution of three nationals who were arrested during a late-Sunday demonstration.
The minister warned that any demonstrations or other protest actions will be treated as illegal activities and legal proceedings will be taken against violators of public order.
