BBC Polls 23 Countries: Belief That Al-Qa’ida Strengthened by U.S. War on Terror

The BBC has polled people in 23 nations, asking questions about Al-Qa’ida and the U.S.-led war on terror. According to the poll’s results, on 22% believe that the war on terror has left Al-Qa’ida any weaker. 30% say they believe it has been strengthened. 29% said the war on terror has had no effect on Al-Qa’ida at all. Yet, when asked who is winning that war, only 10% said Al-Qa’ida, against 22% who believe the United States is ahead.
