The Dubai-based Middle East Development is hoping to construct brand new cities in Syria, Yemen and Djibouti, the Gulf Daily News reports. The projects in Yemen and Djibouti are part of a larger plan to link Asia to Africa via a bridge between the two countries. The cities would be built on the coasts adjoining the bridge. The company, a subsidiary of the Bin-Laden Group is also looking to expand into China and Thailand.
