A blockade-running boat that sailed from Cyprus on Monday night was forcibly prevented by an Israeli naval vessel from docking in Gaza on Tuesday. Israeli authorities deny that gunfire was used, but admit the naval ship made contact with the Cypriot boat, which was escorted back to international waters. In addition to medical supplies, the boat carried 16 peace activists, including a former U.S. congresswoman.
