A British Airways flight from Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport was more than two hours late in leaving Israel after one of their group was heard threatening to bomb the airplane. About 18 members of a group traveling together were removed and turned over to security. All ultimately agreed that the incident was a misunderstanding, but when the aircraft took off, the 18 were not on board. The so-called “threat” began when a flight attendant said one of the group said he had a bomb on board, a key development the group vehemently denied. Both plane and passengers were thoroughly checked before allowing the aircraft to depart.
