British Ex-Pats in Israel Concerned Over Corbyn and Developments Back Home

Concern among Israel’s sizeable community of British ex-patriates is growing rapidly as reports about Jeremy Corbyn and anti-Israel fervor within the Labour Party reach the Jewish state. Israel was the butt of strong criticism on Tuesday when the Labour Party conference passed an anti-Israel resolution that was critical of Israel for its actions against Palestinians involved in violent demonstrations along the Israel-Gaza Strip border. Corbyn promised an arms embargo against Israel if it succeeds in taking control of the government. Incumbent Prime Minister Theresa May has responded to Corbyn with promises to support Israel’s right to defend itself although without offering any specifics about what that means or how far it can go in doing so.
