Trade between Israel and China has grown to the point where China has now surpassed Germany as the second-largest exporter to the Jewish state. Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics is reporting a significant bump in Chinese exports to Israel, up from $3.2 billion in 2006 to $4.6 billion in 2007. German exports showed a modest rise in 2007 (to $3.3 billion). The United States continues to be the main exporter to Israel with $8.1 billion in sales to Israel in 2007.
