Death Toll in Mumbai Terror Attacks Exceeds 100 – Hostages Still Held

More than 100 people died when teams of Islamist terrorists stormed multiple targets in Mumbai, India on Wednesday, including two luxury hotels, a train station, a hospital, a restaurant and a Jewish center run by Chabad Lubavitch. In Israel, the Foreign Ministry reports that 20 Israeli nationals remain missing, and that an Israeli family is being held hostage at the Chabad center. A late report in Israel says it is believed that the Chabad rabbi’s nanny and baby managed to escape. A previously unknown group calling itself the Deccan Mujahideen is claiming responsibility for the attacks. The terrorists used automatic weapons and hand grenades, firing indiscriminately into the buildings they attacked.
