One day after a Katyusha rocket was fired from Lebanon into Israel, the Lebanese army announced that its search of the area turned up another four rockets aimed at the Jewish state. The army neutralized the weapons, which were discovered in a partially-built home. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has said repeatedly that Israel holds the government of Lebanon responsible for all such incidents. A spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said the firing of the rocket – the fifth this year –was apparently aimed at “provoking renewed hostilities.” UNIFIL also criticized Israel for responding by firing a number of artillery shells toward the rocket’s launch site.
