Dubai vs. Atlanta for World’s Busiest Airports

The world’s two busiest airports are Dubai International and Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International: Dubai for international travel and Atlanta for all-around traffic. The Gulf States’ Gateway announced on Monday that 2018 saw an increase in passenger traffic to 89 million passengers, up from a mere 88.2 million in the previous year. In 2014, Dubai International first edged out London’s Heathrow Airport and has never lost the title for international passengers even though Beijing’s airport handles more over-all passenger traffic that Dubai. But the Emirates home-port does have the largest terminal building in the world (Terminal 3) and employs 90,000 workers. At the present time, some 75 airlines fly into and out of Dubai. Atlanta, meanwhile, services 104 million passengers annually.
