An alliance of Egyptian opposition parties say they will boycott parliamentary elections to protest an election law they say favors the Muslim Brotherhood. The planned boycott by the liberal and leftist parties means the elections, which will be held in four stages from late April until June, will be fought mostly between Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood and more hardline groups such as the Salafi Nour party. Morsi denies that the election law divides constituencies in a way that favors the Muslim Brotherhood.
