Einstein’s Refugee Charity Auctioning Celebrity Jeans to Help Syrian Refugees

The International Committee for Refugees, a charity organization founded by Albert Einstein in 1933 to help refugees from Nazi Germany, has launched a campaign that auctions-off jeans donated by international celebrities. Seeking to alleviate the fatality rate among refugees, the ICR is raising tens of thousands of dollars through its jeans program. The French news agency AFP reports $5,500 received for a pair of Sharon Stone’s jeans and 3,000 euros for one belonging to the singer Pink. Other participants include Elton John, Eva Longoria, Mick Jagger, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer.
