Erdogan Rejects Arab Demands on Qatar

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan rejected calls for Turkey to close a military base in Qatar and that a broader list of demands issued by four Arab states was an unlawful intervention in Qatar’s affairs. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain imposed a boycott on Qatar earlier this month for its support of terrorist groups, and issued 13 demands including closing the Al Jazeera television station. Erdogan is supporting Qatar, and a Turkish newspaper reported the two countries are planning a joint military exercise soon.
