Flag Sets Guinness Record

In a gesture of friendship between Israel and the Philippines, the world’s largest flag – the Israeli state flag – was unfurled in the Negev desert near the Masada fortress on Sunday. It has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest flag, measuring 330 feet across and 2,165 feet long. The flag was the project of Filipino Evangelical Christian Grace Galindez-Gupana, who called the flag a testament to her love of Israel and the Jewish people and a celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and the Philippines.
