The crossing points between the Gaza Strip, Egypt and Israel will remained closed on Thursday following the firing of rockets from Gaza into Israel. The incident threatens the fragile cease-fire between Israel and Hamas that has been in effect since last Thursday, especially because Hamas said on Wednesday that while it did not fire the rockets, it has no intention of policing other groups. Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the latest rounds that landed in Israel. Crossings were closed in response to the violation of the cease-fire. Reports from Jerusalem indicate the government has set a policy of closing the border points if rockets are fired, and re-starting the gradual increase of the flow of goods from the beginning each time.
