Gaza Terror Chiefs attend Soleimani Funeral in Tehran

Among the mourners attending the funeral in Tehran for Iranian Revolutionary Guard chief Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were the Gaza-based heads of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations, Ismail Haniyeh and Ziyad al-Nakhala, and their deputies. Eyewitnesses reported emissaries from the Gaza Strip were given their moment to address the throngs – which were estimated to have exceeded one million people by the local authorities. In the course of his remarks, referring to the attack on Soleimani having occurred in Iraq, Haniyyeh blamed “the crimes by Israel both inside and outside of Palestine,” as being motivated by the “criminal atmosphere” in the United States. During the funeral, anti-U.S. and anti-Israel signs were seen in large numbers, many promising revenge for the killing of Soleimani and al-Muhandis. On Tuesday, more threats to Israel and the U.S. were heard in the town of Kerman, Soleimani’s home town, where more than a million attended the third funeral for the slain terrorist leader. Those rites included promises of revenge from Soleimani’s successor, Hossein Salami.
