A Hamas policeman died on Thursday when a bomb he was defusing exploded in a police station in Gaza City in the Gaza Strip. Several others were wounded by the explosion. The device had been discovered earlier in the day and brought to the police station where it was to be neutralized. The Hamas interior minister called the 30-year old police engineer a "martyr."
