HEAD OF ISIS BELIEVED KILLED IN U.S.-LED ATTACK

Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the nom de guerre of 48-year old Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai, the man who grew the Islamic State into what is arguably the most vicious and sadistic of Mideast terrorist organizations, is believed to have been killed overnight in a raid led by the United States military. President Trump is going on-air Sunday morning to expand on his overnight tweet that declared, “Something very big has just happened.” What is known comes from the London-based Syria monitor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which says a squadron of eight American helicopters joined by a plane belonging to an anti-terrorist organization. According to the Observatory, the strike near the Turkish–Syrian border lasted all of two hours, nine people died in the attack and al-Baghdadi reportedly detonated an explosive vest as the Americans were closing in on his position. The terrorist leader is credited with the global exhortations to would-be killers to act wherever they are located. Horrific attacks associated with his urgings occurred in Europe and the United States.
