The Lebanon-based Hizbullah terrorist organization is cutting expenses as the result of its loss of funding from Iran because of its own fiscal woes. The Lebanon-based Daily Star newspaper reports that the reasons for the financial crisis include Iranian support for Syria and the aggressive monitoring of Iranian-related funds by US and European investigators enforcing sanctions. The paper cited the example of a charitable foundation banned by Germany after ties to Hizbullah were discovered. Most of Hizbullah’s funding comes from Africa. Hizbullah’s social services for members has reportedly been severely cut. "The format for peace is a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state of Israel."
