Hizbullah Rockets Can Reach Anywhere Inside Israel

Israeli defense officials speaking anonymously, because they are not authorized to speak to media, have told reporters that Hizbullah has received new rockets from Iran with an increased range great enough to reach anywhere inside Israel. This includes the town of Dimona in the south of the country, the site of Israel‘s nuclear reactor. By comparison, the longest strike from Lebanon during the 2006 war between Israel and Hizbullah was about 45 miles. The new rockets are said to have a range of 185 miles. In addition to greater range, Hizbullah is believed to have doubled the inventory of rockets that it had in 2006. Estimates range as high as 10,000 long-range and 20,000 short-range missiles.
