Hizbullah Wants Unity Government in Lebanon

The resignation of Hizbullah’s legislative contingent and organizing street demonstrations are part of its plans to force the formation of a unity government in Lebanon. Mohammad Raad, the head of Hizbullah’s parliamentary faction, said on Monday that all of its actions would be "democratic and legitimate" as it worked toward the creation of a unity government. The newspaper Daily Star reports that the leaders of all factions will meet on Monday to discuss the issue. Only Hizbullah chief Sheikh Hassan Na’srallah will be absent because he fears surfacing will expose him as a target for the Israelis.
