Iran is considering a Russian offer to sell its latest missiles to the Islamic Republic according to the state-run Tass news agency. The offer is for the Antey-2500 system which is more advanced than the S-300s that were contracted to be sold to Iran but never delivered due to Western pressure. The new system can shoot down missiles with a range of 1,500 miles as opposed to the 150-mile range of the S-300, which had also been offered to Syria before the deal was sidetracked by the civil war.
