Tehran expects the U.S and other world powers to offer some concessions in the latest round of nuclear talks that began on Wednesday, Hassan Abedini, an adviser to the Iranian delegation said. His remarks came a day after Iran tentatively agreed to let United Nations inspectors into the Parchin military complex, which is believed to be the site of 2003 tests needed to set off a nuclear charge. Tehran insists that Parchin is not a nuclear site. Abedini said the move is a show of good faith that must be reciprocated, but U.S. officials showed little willingness to bargain, Associated Press reported. Meanwhile, the official Islamic Republic News Agency said Iranian scientists had inserted a domestically made fuel rod containing pellets of 20%-enriched uranium into the core of a research reactor in Tehran. The advance would be another step in achieving proficiency over the entire nuclear fuel cycle.
