An Iranian rocket launch failed on Sunday when the payload failed to make it into orbit. According to the Reuters news agency, American intelligence believes that the space launch program is in large part a cover for its ballistic missile development program. Iranian state television reported that the Phoenix rocket failed to generate sufficient speed in order to put the satellite into orbit.
