Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Satisfied with Missile Range
The pressure to produce bigger and more dangerous missiles has apparently been lifted from the shoulders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ali Jafari, head of the guard, told the Tasnim news agency that its current collection of missiles is “sufficient to protect” Iran. According to Jafari, the targets the Islamic Republic’s general are concerned about are all located within a radius of 2,000 miles, which is well within the range of the current arsenal. During negotiations headed by the Obama administration, critics of the pact argued that Tehran wasn’t even approached about curbing development of ballistic missiles presuming the result would be a turn-down and additional tension with the rogue state. Once again, it’s bad news for Israel which, falls neatly within the target zone.
