ISIS-Aligned Terrorist Group Blamed for Killing of 2 Egyptian Soldiers
Egyptian officials are blaming the Sinai Province terrorist organization for the killing of two soldiers on Saturday in the northern Sinai Peninsula on Saturday. The group was launched under the name of Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis but changed its name in 2014 when it declared its alliance with the Islamic State. In addition to those killed at Sheikh Zuweid City, four soldiers were wounded when the armored vehicle they were riding in was hit by a roadside bomb described as “huge” by Egyptian security officials. The dead and wounded were taken to the hospital at Al-Arish.
