As Israel’s Jewish population welcomes in the new year, the country’s security services have moved into high gear to prevent any would-be terror attacks over the two-day holiday. Soldiers arrested 12 Palestinians in sweeps across the West Bank on Friday morning. Seven soldiers were wounded in Nablus when a bomb was detonated as they passed by. Israel has imposed a closure on the West Bank until the festivities end on Sunday night.
