Israeli military authorities have confirmed that Hizbullah is holding body parts of soldiers killed during the summer 2006 war in Lebanon. On Saturday, Hizbullah chief Sheikh Sayyid Hasan Na’srallah told a rally celebrating the festival of Ashoura that his group was holding the body parts, and used graphic and horrific descriptions. Israeli authorities confirmed that Na’srallah’s claim to have some body parts is true and said Israel will not cooperate with Hizbullah in negotiating for them, but is instead focusing on obtaining the return of the two soldiers whose kidnappings triggered the war. It is not known whether the two captives are dead or alive. Officials also say that the bodies of all soldiers who died in the war were removed from the fields of battle and buried in accordance with Jewish law.
