Israel Places West Bank Under Closure for Holiday

Israeli security forces have been beefed up in post-1967 areas and a full closure has been placed on the Palestinian territories in advance of the Jewish New Year. The measure has become standard over the years. During that time, no Palestinians will be allowed to enter Israel with the exception of specific cases of humanitarian need. At least ten specific leads on planned terrorist activities had been received by Israeli security forces by Monday morning.
