As Israeli officials worry that ongoing violence in Syria could spill over into Israel, Israeli medics treated seven injured Syrians who came to the Golan Heights border. One of the Syrians died of his injuries in an Israeli hospital and two others were brought into Israel for further treatment. An Israeli army spokesman said no change has been made in regard to Israel’s policy regarding its border with Syria, which is a closed border. Syria’s other neighbors – Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon – are coping with hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees and humanitarian services are being strained to the breaking point.
