Israel’s emergency team is wrapping up its operations in Haiti following a two-week stay during which time it treated more than one thousand patients, performed 314 surgeries and delivered 16 babies. The last of its patients are being released on Tuesday even though many have no home to which to return. Israel’s social services minister has said he is looking into the legalities of bringing some of Haiti’s displaced children to the Jewish state.
