Israeli Army Hits Gaza, West Bank, Killing 5

The Israeli army carried out raids in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank early Thursday morning. In the Gaza strike, two members of the Popular Resistance Committees and a member of Hamas were killed in the Sajaiya neighborhood. Soldiers operating in the West Bank town of Nablus engaged armed Palestinians. Two died in the fire fight, one a member of the Popular Front’s Abu Mustafa Brigades and the other belonging to the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an arm of Fatah, headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud ‘Abbas.
