Israeli Army Kills Third Palestinian in One Week

In the third such incident within a single week, a Palestinian has been shot and killed in the course of an Israeli army arrest detail. The latest incident came in the early hours of Monday at the Qalandiya refugee camp just north of Jerusalem as a team of Border Policemen sought to arrest two Palestinians believed to be plotting an attack on a civilian target inside of Israel. An 18-year old suspect tried to flee across a rooftop and fell to his death after being shot in the leg. In all, five Palestinian men were arrested overnight in arrest raids throughout the West Bank where there is fear of a growing presence by Hamas-loyal fighters.
