An Israeli man who was confined to a mental hospital in 1991 after being found unfit to stand trial for the murder of his wife has admitted to killing his second wife, a 38-year old Philippine national. The suspect, who is in his sixties and who spent 14 years in the psychiatric facility, phoned police on Tuesday to report killing his wife. The couple has a 4-year old daughter and the man has three children from the first wife who was murdered in front of the siblings. He also turned himself in to police in that time. The newspaper Haaretz is reporting that the self-confessed killer called police before the murder on Tuesday to tell them his plans but that the officer he spoke to told him to “take a walk on the beach, calm down and come to the police station on Sunday.”
