Israeli Team to Scour the Danube for Remains of Holocaust Victims

During the Second Intifada, news watchers were often fascinated to see the extreme care with which volunteers in yellow vests scoured the scenes of bombings to recover all body remnants no matter how minuscule or difficult to reach. This, because Jewish tradition requires that extreme level of respect for the body. Now, the ZAKA organization in cooperation with the Hungarian government will seek to recover the remains of Holocaust victims who were murdered and dumped in the Danube River. The specific goal is to recover remains of those killed by the Nazi-affiliated Arrow Cross Party which, in 1944, slaughtered thousands on the banks of the river.
