An Israeli woman riding in one of two cars shot in drive-by shootings in post-1967 territory on Sunday night later gave birth to her baby at the hospital where she was being treated for wounds suffered in the attack. She and her husband both sustained gunshot wounds to their legs while the occupants of a second targeted car escaped injury. At the hospital, doctors performed a Caesarian section and delivered a healthy baby girl. Reports of responsibility for the shootings were contradictory. The incident occurred in an area acquired by Israel in the 1967 war which is disputed between Israel and the Palestinians. There were other drive-by shootings recently, including an attack on August 31st that left four Israelis dead, responsibility for which was claimed by Hamas.
