Israelis Rally to Ukraine’s Side While Their Gov’t Takes a Cautious Approach

Israel finds itself in a unique position, with large communities of both Ukrainians and Russians living in the country. There is little doubt where the people stand: Thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets in demonstrations protesting against the Russian invasion, and municipalities across the country have raised Ukrainian flags and signs in support of Kyiv. Yet the national government is taking a much more measured position, for clear strategic reasons. The Media Line’s Keren Setton brings the whole story.
