Israelis Show-off the Tank’s Successors

As one of the world’s foremost armored forces, the Israel Defense Forces have long been known for its cutting-edge creativity in tank design as well as its prowess in battlefield tactics. On Sunday, the army unveiled the next generation of battle vehicle: three prototypes built by three competing defense contractors, all of which cut in half the size of the crews from 4 to 2 and described by some as hybrids that merge sophisticated killing machines with video games. The ability to see 360 degrees and be operated remotely will apparently be standard fare. Sunday’s demonstration was staged for the U.S. Army.
