When the American Embassy relocates from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, it will not be alone. Since US President Donald Trump announced his decision to move the location, the governments of Paraguay and Guatemala have signaled their intent to follow suit. And although no other nation has yet made a commitment to move their embassy, reports from inside Israel’s foreign service indicate that cajoling other countries to come to Jerusalem is the order of the day. The American dedication of its temporary Jerusalem facility is set for May 14 and will be followed on either May 21 or 22 with a ceremony marking the new Paraguayan facility in the presence of its president-elect who will not even assume office until late summer.
