A new poll taken against the background of soaring speculation about an Israeli military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities indicates that a firm majority (65% to 26%) of Jewish Israelis believe life with a nuclear-weapon-bearing-Iran would ultimately be more costly than a military strike and the fallout it entails. The poll, conducted by noted Israeli pollster Dr. Camille Fuchs and commissioned by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, a politically right-wing pro-Israel think tank, also indicated that 60% of the populace believes that nothing short of a military strike will prevent Iran from continuing its nuclear program. Other polls have provided markedly different results.
