Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Monday lent his voice to the chorus of those who accuse Israel of violating its agreements regarding Jerusalem’s holy sites with an attempt to “Juda-ize” Muslim shrines including the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The monarch claims Israel is out to “change history.” In an interview with a Jordanian newspaper, Abdullah is quoted as saying that, “efforts are made to stop Israeli violations against every Arab citizen and holy Christian and Muslim places in Jerusalem,” but offered no details regarding those efforts. Israeli authorities vehemently reject the accusations.
