Kidnappers of Three Murdered Israeli Teens Killed in Firefight with Israeli Troops

Two of the suspects in the July kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers taken captive while hitchhiking were killed by Israeli soldiers after a firefight broke out during an attempt to arrest them early Tuesday morning. The Hamas terrorist organization, which had originally denied association with the killers, acknowledged the deaths of Amar Abu-Aisha and Marwan Kawasmeh, praising both men for their “sacrifice.” Hamas had since admitted the wanted men belonged to its organization. The three sons of a third suspect who was previously taken into custody were arrested Monday night.
