Lebanese Minister of Industry Hussein al-Haj Hassan is heading a delegation of 70 businessmen and representatives of Lebanon’s economic and banking sectors on a visit to Iran. It is the first large-scale delegation from Lebanon since the deal in which Iran sharply curtailed its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. Hassan said that the time is ripe for expansion of mutual cooperation between the two countries that will benefit both nations. He is set to meet high-ranking Iranian officials and discuss joint projects.
