An Italian ship serving with the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Lebanon on Saturday rescued a Syrian man who had been floating offshore for two days after falling from a ship. The San Marco brought the survivor aboard, administered first aid and then transferred him to a hospital in Tyre. UNIFIL says its Ghanaian, Italian and Indian battalions had a busy weekend as well. The U.N. says its forces administered medical assistance to 64 civilians and 40 animals.
